Terms of Use
These terms apply to use of the Road Alert app and Road Alert website.
Driver responsibility
Road Alert is a driver awareness tool. It does not replace road signs, official directions, Police instructions, posted speed limits, route planning, commercial driving obligations, or driver judgement.
No guarantee of accuracy
Alerts, reports, locations, status information, and official feeds may be delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, unavailable, duplicated, or removed. You are responsible for driving legally and safely at all times.
Safe use
Do not interact with Road Alert while driving. A passenger may submit reports, or the driver may report only when safely stopped and legally parked.
Community reports
Reports must be submitted in good faith. Do not submit false, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, private, illegal, or unsafe content. Do not include personal information about other people.
Moderation
Road Alert may moderate, archive, remove, correct, or reject reports and feedback. Road Alert may also restrict access if the service is misused.
No government affiliation
Road Alert NZ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by NZTA, Waka Kotahi, NHVR, Police, transport agencies, councils, or any government agency.
